Question
In 2025, a hospitalization case with a primary diagnosis of M54.5 was classified under medical service S37-13. For 2026, however, hospitalizations with this HDG are now classified under MP 99 for unclassified hospitalizations. I see a problem in that the diagnosis M54.5 is not included in Appendix 15—the method for determining medical service classification based on HDG for adults. Only M54.50 (lower back pain, multiple spinal involvement) is listed there. In the ICD valid as of January 1, 2026, the diagnosis M54.5 exists; please include this diagnosis in Appendix 15.
