We cannot correctly identify the medical service when the scope of the DRG procedure—or its criteria—is not defined. A typical example is “Second-line and higher-level diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases” (ZV 93011). This issue primarily affects non-surgical specialties across multiple medical fields. There are also no notes for the procedures 8n301 Early Rehabilitation, 8n302 Acute Rehabilitation, and 8n303 Follow-up Rehabilitation, which replace the ZV 93 codes from the past (e.g., 8n301 replaces procedure 93034). I assume that the distinctions between early, acute, and follow-up rehabilitation are interpreted differently by individual healthcare providers.
