The proposal was discussed by the Categorization Commission on June 17, 2026, which partially accepted it. The requirement for apnea mats in the ICU, SICU, and PICU is accepted and removed from the list of mandatory material and technical equipment. The requirement to maintain a laminar flow cabinet as per point (7) and the number of high-intensity incubators as per letter b) is not accepted and remains in its original wording.
