"We propose categorizing diagnoses. P59.8 - Neonatal jaundice from other specified causes P59.0 - Neonatal jaundice associated with preterm birth P59.9 — Neonatal jaundice, unspecified—in the neonatal program. Since all current MS codes in the neonatal program are determined by DRG group, we propose creating a new MS in this program designated by HDG where neonatal diagnoses would be grouped, specifically those where the admission type is other than 3–6. Alternatively, for the aforementioned diagnoses, remove the admission type requirement (i.e., accept admission types 1–8)."

Thank you for your suggestion. The proposal was partially approved at the KKÚZS meeting on August 10, 2026, specifically by adding the relevant diagnoses to the pediatric hospital program.
