Procedures 8v311 Comprehensive Intensive Care for an Adult Patient: 1–184 points through 8v31n Comprehensive Intensive Care for an Adult Patient: 19,321 points and more have been mistakenly included in the pediatric anesthesiology and intensive care medicine program. We propose removing the procedures in question from the aforementioned appendix. They are practically impossible to bill, as they contradict the age requirement of 18 years and younger specified in Appendix No. 12.
Answer
Thank you for your suggestion. The proposal was not approved at the KKÚZS meeting on June 17, 2026, because the 8v31? are used to code patients older than 14 years, while patients aged 14 to 18 still fall under the pediatric anesthesiology program. The name of the procedure will be revised to make it clearer and more unambiguously reflect its content.
