Question
As part of the reporting of 93 codes, it was possible until July 1, 2025, to report code 93091 in cases where child psychiatric patients under the age of 18 were hospitalized in adult psychiatric wards. We have identified a solution involving the sharing of medical services for child psychiatric patients aged 16–18 within the adult program, as specified in the decree effective July 1, 2025. This is defined as the sharing of services for patients aged 16–18 at Level III within the adult program. Hospitals must therefore contract for this level; additionally, mandatory medical services in sleep medicine are provided at this level.
Answer
The suggestion was approved in the form of a Proposal to change the obligation of medical service S74-20 Sleep Disorders from P (mandatory) to N (optional) at the meeting of the ACOH on 20.8.2025. Sincerely, MUDr. Veronika Urdová
